Infinity pool builders have a QBCC
(Builder Restricted to Swimming Pool Construction) license & insurance for each construction. When building a concrete swimming pool the site profile must be accurate to ensure that the alignment of the construction is correct.
The steel reinforcement is generally soft steel which is easy to shape into the form of the pool on-site. An engineer will give a custom design for the inground concrete structure before it is poured.
The concrete known as shotcrete is a specific blend of concrete designed for pools. Shotcrete is applied using high pressure enabling the specialist artisans to shape or form steps, benches, walls and other bespoke designs. After the shell of the pool has been sprayed it requires 21 days to cure. You can help this curing process by wetting the shell once a day for the first 7 days. A successful cure ensures that the tiles and tile bands form a strong adhesion to the surface of the pool. Finishes can include pebble Crete, stone & glass or mosaic tiles depending on your design.
